Britnae started Heart and Hustle (then known as the Feminist Candle Co) following the 2016 elections as a way to channel anxiety and frustration into something productive. Since then, Britnae has drastically expanded products, and been able to donate over $3,000 to various nonprofits through product sales. Heart and Hustle started in a tiny kitchen in Durham, NC, and is now based in Reston, Virginia.
